Jewell feels for Chelsea boss

Jewell feels for Chelsea boss

11 March 2008 - 07:58

Derby boss Paul Jewell has confessed that he feels sorry for Chelsea boss Avram Grant as the axe looks firmly set on the Israeli after Barnsley dumped the Blues out of the FA Cup at the weekend.

  • Predicted Man Utd line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Crystal Palace, Evans starts
  • Mikel Arteta insists 27yo star won't be leaving Arsenal

  • Jewell said: "Avram Grant ain't done too bad.

"But because he wasn't a big name and because he has been chosen maybe by Roman Abramovich while Jose Mourinho was still there, the knives are out for him.

"I would imagine Avram has got to win something this season - but even then for some people that might not be enough."
