Chelsea want Polish striker to replace Alvaro Morata?

14 October 2018 - 06:29

Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly looking into a move for Genoa's in-form centre-forward Krzysztof Piatek during the winter transfer window.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The 23-year-old only joined the Serie A outfit from Cracovia last summer but he has since been in excellent form with 13 goals from just eight appearances across all competitions.

As such, Genoa have slapped a £43.8m price tag on the marksman who cost them only £3.5m and according to The Express, the Blues are desperate to bring him to Stamford Bridge.

Blues boss Mauricio Sarri is looking into a potential replacement for Alvaro Morata who has largely misfired for the club under his management this campaign.

Morata has already netted three goals for the west London side this term but he could have quite easily doubled the tally with the vast number of opportunities squandered.

Piatek recently featured for Poland during their Nations League game against Portugal where he opened the scoring in a 3-2 defeat at the Silesian Stadium.
