Spurs, Chelsea in for Isco?

Tottenham, Chelsea vying for Real Madrid star

01 December 2018 - 17:08

Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have reportedly joined the race to pursue midfielder Isco from Real Madrid when the transfer window reopens.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star
  • The Spain international has managed under 90 minutes of gametime since Santiago Solari took over the managerial reigns from Julen Lopetegui and this has presented doubts regarding his long-term future with the club.

Manchester City have already been tipped to make an approach at the turn of the year but according to The Mirror, they could face stiff competition from both Spurs and the Blues.

Maurizio Sarri's side are presently looking into a move for a new attacker amid the uncertain future of Eden Hazard. Spurs, though, are expected to bolster their options after going without spending during the summer.

Isco has managed just five league starts for the European champions since the beginning of the campaign. Out of those, none have come under the guidance of Solari, who dropped him altogether for the recent European outing at AS Roma.
