Chelsea boss Maurizio Sarri is reportedly considering the prospect of signing AC Milan striker Gonzalo Higuain in a swap agreement involving Alvaro Morata.
The Blues are being widely fancied to sign a new marksman at the turn of the year and Sarri seems to have earmarked Higuain as the prime target after missing out during the summer.
According to Sky Sport Italia, the Blues are prepared to offload Morata to the Rossoneri next month, should they agreed to sanction Higuain's sale in a straight swap deal.
Still, the move may have complications with the Rossoneri only signing Higuain on a two-year loan from Juventus and they would have to agree a permanent deal with the Bianconeri first before discussing terms with the Blues.
Higuain has previously played under Maurizio Sarri during their time together at Napoli during the 2015/16 season where he scored a career-best tally of 38 goals across all competitions.
