Chelsea reach agreement to sign South American striker?

17 January 2019 - 19:31

Chelsea have reportedly reached an agreement with Juventus to pursue the loan signing of Gonzalo Higuain.

  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players
  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts

  • The Argentine is currently on a year-long loan with AC Milan but his temporary contract is expected to be terminated ahead of his proposed move to the Bridge.

According to Sky Sports News, the Blues have found the breakthrough in terms of the negotiations with the Bianconeri and they are set to sign Higuain on an initial loan deal for the campaign.

It is added that they have the opportunity to extend the temporary contract for another year with the option to secure a permanent deal for the striker, if they wish.

Meanwhile, the proposed arrival of Higuain could coincide with the departure of Alvaro Morata, who has been heavily linked with a return to Madrid with Atletico.

The Spaniard has endured another frustrating season with the Blues, where he has been guilty of squandering multiple scoring chances and it appears that the Blues have eventually lost their patience in the marksman.
