Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly seek to acquire the services of Daniel Sturridge on a free transfer from Liverpool when the season comes to a close.
The England international has largely featured from the bench during the ongoing campaign and he appears primed to leave on a Bosman in the summer with the Reds yet to offer him a contract renewal.
According to The Mirror, Spurs are looking into the proceedings of the former Manchester City graduate and they are likely to offer him a two-year contract once he is released from the Reds.
It is added that the Englishman would still only manage a deputy role to Harry Kane upfront while Fernando Llorente is likely to create the void for him to make the free transfer.
Llorente has recently earned a regular run of games in the Premier League but the Spaniard is still expected to assess his future in the summer, given he has received barely any gametime when Kane is fit and kicking.
