Arsenal are likely to make a fresh attempt to sign Yannick Carrasco from Dalian Yifang when the transfer window reopens at the end of the season.
The Belgium international was heavily linked with the north London side during the winter transfer window but a move failed to materialise after Yifang declined an approach.
However, according to The Express, the Gunners could retain their interest when the season concludes where they are likely to make a permanent bid for the attacker.
Still, Carrasco may have to take a significant paycut on his current £8.8m wages which he could oblige to, considering he is desperate to return to European football next term.
A recent report from The Sun has indicated that manager Unai Emery could be handed with a £40m transfer kitty for the summer, but that could be enhanced, should the Gunners secure their return to the Champions League next season.
