Portsmouth want Wes Brown

Portsmouth want Wes Brown

20 March 2008 - 00:32

Portsmouth are set to make an offer for man Utd's out of contract defender Wes Brown. Sir Alex Ferguson was keen on giving the England international a new deal, but he rejected and is looking for a new club.

  • Man Utd without four players for Bournemouth clash
  • Liam Rosenior on Enzo Fernandez's Chelsea future
  • Brown is reportedly looking forward to the opportunity of more first team football at another club, and Harry Redknapp is known to be an admirer of Brown.

The central defender is out of contract and Sir Alex criticised the player's agent, and now it seems this has opened the door for the Fratton Park outfit to make an offer for the talented centre back.
