Arsenal rocked by injury blow for Premier League run in

Arsenal have been dealt a major blow in their pursuit of a top-four position in the Premier League, with news that midfield star Aaron Ramsey has withdrawn from the Wales squad to face Slovakia. Ramsey, who is to move to Juventus at the end of the season on a free transfer, has also missed Wales' last friendly game against Trinidad and Tobago.

  • The 28-year-old will make a Bosman free transfer move to Italian giants Juventus at the end of the season, leaving the Gunners after more than a decade at the club.

Of primary concern to Arsenal fans is that Ramsey may have even played his last game for the North London side and that the Welshman will be missing for the Gunners' key final games in the Premier League.

Arsenal, currently fourth in the Premier League table, are desperate to return to the Champions League under their new coach Unai Emery and the club are currently on an international break in Dubai.

It is understood that Ramsey has a thigh problem and at this point in time it is not yet known how long the midfielder will be on the sidelines.
