Chelsea have suffered a potential transfer blow for the summer with Luka Jovic said to have finalised a move to Real Madrid from Eintracht Frankfurt.
A recent report from Goal.com indicated that the Blues are leading the race for the former Benfica man and they could lure him in the summer, provided they manage to suspend their transfer ban.
However, that is unlikely to happen now with Los Blancos understood to have agreed on a £52m sum with Frankfurt for the services of the Serbia international, Sky Sport Germany reports.
Jovic recently impressed during the Europa League semi-final against Chelsea and he was the prime reason behind the game going into a penalty shoot-out after scoring both goals for his side in a 2-2 aggregate score.
Overall, he has netted 27 goals across all competitions for Frankfurt this term and out of those, 10 have resulted from the Europa League. Frankfurt are due to pay Benfica around £10m as part of a sell-on clause.
