Barcelona slash Dutchman's asking price amid Manchester United interest

Barcelona have reportedly decided to reduce the asking price for goalkeeper Jasper Cillessen amid interest from Manchester United.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • The Dutchman has been the second choice behind Marc-Andre ter Stegen in goal in the past three seasons and he made just three league appearances last term.

As such, the shot-stopper has previously confirmed that he wants to leave the Catalan giants, but he did acknowledge that the £53m release clause on his deal may prove a stumbling block for his suitors.

According to AS, the Blaugrana have now decided to make a significant cut on the asking price and they could accept as little as £17m to sanction his sale this summer.

The same publication claims that United are among the clubs interested in the former Ajax man, given they are pondering over David de Gea's position with the team.

De Gea has just 12 months remaining on his current deal with the Red Devils and reports have suggested that he could be sold off with the likes of Paris Saint-Germain interested.
