Chelsea reject Barcelona, Atletico bids for Willian

Chelsea reject £35m bids for Brazilian winger

18 June 2019 - 15:12

Chelsea have reportedly snubbed £35m bids from both Barcelona and Atletico Madrid for the services of Brazilian attacker Willian.

  • Predicted Chelsea line-up (4-2-3-1) vs Aston Villa, Palmer starts
  • Chelsea ready to sell four home-grown players

  • The 30-year-old has just 12 months remaining on his contract with the Blues and so far, there has been no progress in terms of an extension with the side.

Amidst this, the likes of Barcelona and Atletico are said to have £35m bids for the winger, but both of those offers have been rebuffed, Sky Sports News claims.

The west London giants are currently under a ban for two transfer windows and it is said that the Blues are determined to keep Willian irrespective of whether he signs a new deal or not.

Chelsea have suffered some high-profile departures during the ongoing transfer window with both Eden Hazard and manager Maurizio Sarri ending their association with the club.

Frank Lampard has been earmarked as the prime choice to take over the head coach role and reports indicate that talks have already begun regarding a three-year contract with the Blues.
