Sporting midfielder Bruno Fernandes is reportedly understood to favour a move to Manchester United over Tottenham Hotspur this summer.
The Portuguese has come off a splendid season with the Primeira Liga outfit where he bagged 32 goals and 18 assists across all competitions, and this has caught the eye of some of Europe's elite sides.
According to Correio da Manha, the player's agent is understood to have met with both United and Spurs to discuss a summer move but the former seem to hold the midfielder's preference.
United won't be able to afford the 24-year-old with Champions League football next term, but the midfielder is nonetheless drawn by the history and mystique of the Red Devils.
Sporting are currently said to value Fernandes at around £62m and so far, United have not come up with a bid, which is close to matching the price tag of the Portuguese giants.
Fernandes has four years remaining on his contract with the Lisbon-based club.
