Chelsea have reportedly told Atletico Madrid that they must make a bid of around £50m in order to secure the permanent signing of Alvaro Morata this summer.

  • The Spaniard joined the La Liga outfit on an 18-month loan from the Blues in January, and he proved a decent purchase with six goals from 15 league appearances.

According to The Telegraph, the Blues are said to have the option to recall the marksman from Atleti this summer, should the Spanish club decline to purchase him outright in 12 months' time.

The same outlet claims that the Madrid giants may struggle to meet the Blues' £50m price tag, considering they are planning a humongous £112.9m to pursue Joao Felix from Benfica.

Morata has recently cited that he has no ambition of returning to Chelsea next term and it remains to be seen whether he would pursue a move elsewhere, should Atleti fail to meet the Blues' requirements.
