Manchester United have reportedly told Real Madrid that they would have to shell out a Spanish record fee of around £162m in order to secure the services of Paul Pogba this summer.
The Frenchman has been heavily linked with the Bernabeu giants in the past few weeks and the speculation has been further enhanced with super-agent Mino Raiola acknowledging that the midfielder wants to move on.
According to Marca, United are reluctant to part ways with their midfielder this summer but they could be tempted to sanction his sale, should Los Blancos come up with a bid in the region of £162m.
Los Blancos are currently not in a position to make an approach with the massive outlay on five players and reports indicate that they may have to sanction the sale of few outcasts to recoup the necessary funds.
Lucas Vazquez, Isco, Marcelo and Gareth Bale have been mentioned as probable candidates to head through the exit door, and the former has been touted to make the switch to Arsenal.
