Man Utd deny Berbatov bid

25 August 2007 - 00:19

Man Utd have moved to deny that they have made an offer for Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov. The Tottenham striker has been the subject of interest this summer, and Martin Jol has revealed that a club have made an enquiry.

  • Fabrizio Romano updates on Nicolas Jackson's future at Chelsea
  • Arsenal suffer big injury blow ahead of Fulham game
  • However, Man Utd's chief executive David Gill has responded to the claims, "The club has categorically not made a bid for Dimitar Berbatov."

Alex Ferguson has announced that he has indeed made an offer for a striker recently, but Berbatov is not the player.

Tottenham will be hopeful of agreeing a new contract with Berbatov shortly.
