Arsenal end interest in Kieran Tierney?

Arsenal have reportedly decided to walk away from negotiations for defender Kieran Tierney with Celtic refusing to accept an installment package for the player's services.

  • The north London side have expressed a keen interest in signing the Scotland international over the past month, and most recently, they have made an offer which matches the Hoops' £25m price tag.

However, the Premier League outfit are only willing to settle the package in the form of staggered payments and that does not seem to suit the Scottish champions, who want a significant sum upfront for the left-back.

As such, The Record claims that the Gunners have officially ended their interest in the left-sided defender and they may now switch their attention to different targets.

Arsenal have made just one signing in the form of Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano but they are seemingly on the verge of announcing the arrivals of William Saliba and Dani Ceballos.

Saint-Etienne's Saliba is expected to sign a five-year deal with the Gunners but he will be loaned back to the French side thereafter. Ceballos, meanwhile, will join them on loan from Real Madrid for next season.
