Callum Hudson-Odoi signs new Chelsea deal

23 July 2019 - 16:12

Chelsea forward Callum Hudson-Odoi has signed a new contract with the Stamford Bridge outfit. Having been promised first-team action this season, the England international has put pen to paper on a new five year contract.

  • Chelsea want to negotiate terms for Victor Osimhen deal
  • Chelsea handed big injury blow ahead of Arsenal trip

  • The player has signed a £100,000 deal with Chelsea and agreed a long-term contract after new manager Frank Lampard assured the youngster that he would be an important part of the squad's first-team next year.

Lampard will play the youngster on a regular basis at the Blues after the departure of on loan Gonzalo Higuain back to his parent club Juventus.

Last season Bayern Munich had tabled an offer of £35 million to sign Hudson-Odoi that would be promptly rejected by then coach Maurizio Sarri, instead deciding that the player would continue to play for the Blues and would be in and out of the first-team for the second half of the 2018/19 season.

Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has assured the club's board that he will be blooding youth players in the first team this season.
