Manchester United defender to make early injury comeback

09 September 2019 - 20:05

Manchester United defender Eric Bailly has responded well to the treatment following a knee ligament injury and he could return to first-team action earlier than predicted.

  • Barcelona have genuine interest in Chelsea forward
  • Man Utd handed boost in signing West Ham star?
  • The Ivory Coast international has suffered an array of injury setbacks during his time at Old Trafford and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently stated that he could be out until Christmas with the latest setback.

However, according to ESPN, the centre-back could return prior to schedule following positive progress after the surgery and he is eyeing a comeback after the November international break.

Aside from Bailly, Timothy Fosu-Mensah remains a long-term absentee while the likes of Paul Pogba, Luke Shaw, Anthony Martial and Diogo Dalot are all carrying minor injuries at the present point of time.

United have made an average beginning to the current season and they have accumulated just five points after four matches. They will be aiming to end a three-match winless streak when they host Leicester City this weekend.
