Victor Moses set for Chelsea return

12 September 2019 - 16:57

Former Nigeria international Victor Moses appears set to return to Chelsea once his loan deal with Fenerbahce expires at the end of the season.

  • Chelsea winger to join Leeds United or Crystal Palace?
  • Chelsea favourites to sign Kees Smit ahead of Man Utd

  • The attacker was loaned out to Fenerbahce for 18 months at the beginning of the year after he fell out-of-favour under former manager Maurizio Sarri.

Moses has since been a decent success with five goals contributed from 17 games but it seems that he is bound for a Stamford Bridge return next summer.

According to The Star, Fenerbahce are unlikely to meet Moses' £75,000-a-week wages while they are reluctant to pay the transfer fee for a permanent deal.

Moses has made 128 appearances for the west London giants and his standout season came during the 2016/17 campaign where he helped the Blues win the Premier League title.

During that period, he was instrumental for the Blues in the right wing-back position under Antonio Conte but the club have since moved on from the setup with the change in head coaches.
