Netherlands striker Memphis Depay could return to the Premier League in January, two years after leaving Manchester United for Lyon.
In the summer of 2015, he joined Manchester United after leaving PSV Eindhoven. Unfortunately, Memphis Depay failed to perform at his best at Old Trafford.
In January 2017, Depay signed a deal with French club Olympique Lyonnais and he has since impressed for club and country. With Les Gones, he has successfully scored 50 goals in 130 appearances in all competitions.
Depay has been linked with some top European clubs including Liverpool and his former team. Now, Tottenham Hotspur boss Mauricio Pochettino is ready to lure him to the Tottenham Stadium in January.
Spurs reportedly sent scouts to watch Depay in Lyon's recent Champions League match against Benfica and his performance has convinced the English side to ready a £50 million offer for Depay.
The North London club are also eyeing a move for Depay’s teammate, Moussa Dembele, who is also on the radar of Manchester United ahead of the New Year.
