Chelsea forward Olivier Giroud has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for German giants Borussia Dortmund ahead of the winter transfer window.
Giroud has fallen down the pecking order under Blues boss Frank Lampard this term and he has often been an unused substitute with Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi favoured ahead of him for the striker's role.
Inter Milan have already been credited with an interest ahead of the New Year but The Mirror claims that there could be further competition from Dortmund, who are keen to challenge for the league title.
Dortmund are presently six points behind surprise leaders Borussia Monchengladbach at the top and they recently suffered an embarrassing 4-0 defeat at the hands of Bayern Munich.
Giroud's current deal is due to expire at the end of the season and the Blues are likely to demand a sum of around £5m to sanction his sale at the turn of the year.
