Manchester United are reportedly plotting a mid-season deal for midfielder Leandro Paredes, who has gone out-of-favour at Paris Saint-Germain this term.
The Argentine moved to the French giants from Zenit St. Petersburg at the beginning of the year but he has failed to cement a regular role this season with Idrissa Gueye, Marco Verratti and Marquinhos ahead of him in the pecking order.
According to El Intransigente, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to recruit a new midfielder at the turn of the year despite the fact that the likes of Scott McTominay and Fred have impressed in the centre of the park.
The same outlet claims that Paredes is one of the leading targets on the club's shortlist and he could be prised away from Les Parisiens for around £36m in the New Year.
United are expected to witness the injury comebacks of Paul Pogba and Nemanja Matic in the coming weeks but the latter has been fancied to head through the exit door, having fallen down the pecking order.
