Barcelona decide not to sell French ace amidst transfer links

10 January 2020 - 00:23

Barcelona have no intention of selling Ousmane Dembele until the summer, claims French outlet RMC.

  • Mauricio Pochettino confirms fresh injury blow for Chelsea star
  • Arsenal want to make four marquee signings this summer

  • The French winger has been subject to transfer in recent weeks after the Catalans were said to have decided to listen to the offers for the youngster. Manchester United, Chelsea and Liverpool were understood to be tracking the ex-Dortmund star.

However, Barca have cleared the air on Dembele’s future and they are now looking to keep him until the summer amid the transfer interest.

Dembele even created an excitement recently after liking a photoshopped picture of himself wearing Liverpool’s shirt.

The 22-year-old has been often cited as a big-money failure as he had found it difficult in adapting to the Spanish club. Furthermore, a history of injuries have also hindered his progress.

Dembele is currently recovering from a hamstring injury and is expected to return next month.

Meanwhile, Barca are regarded as the frontrunners for Dinamo Zagreb star Dani Olmo, who was raised in La Masia.

Ernesto Valverde's men are currently topping the La Liga table, ahead of arch-rivals Real Madrid by the point difference.
