Tottenham boss Juande Ramos has called on his players to ensure they put in a sterling performance this weekend in the Premiership game against Blackburn to make up for the 4-1 drubbing that Newcastle gave them at White Hart Lane.
"It wasn't good enough and we all know that," Ramos told the club's official website. "It goes without saying that we owe the fans better than that.
"It is important that the players perform with maximum intensity and concentration for the rest of the season.
"I'm happy with how the team has progressed and I do not want all that hard work to go to waste. We intend to focus with the squad on maintaining the kind of performances that we have come to expect at the Lane and which our supporters deserve.
"The coaches and the players are all professionals and we take pride in our performances.
"I have said all along that I am determined to win every one of our remaining games - every point counts - and we want to finish as high up the league table as possible."
