Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane has said that he will rely on Gareth Bale for the remainder of the season.
The Welsh player was widely tipped to make an exit in the January transfer window, with Tottenham turning out to be the possible destination.
Despite spending his time on the fringes for the most part of this season, Bale was surprisingly included in the starting line up against Osasuna in the La Liga's weekend fixture.
Following the thumping 4-1 win, Zidane had his say on Bale, insisting that he would be vital for his side until the end of this season.
The French gaffer said, (h/t ESPN)
"He is an important player, he has shown it. He hasn't played the last three games and he played 70 good minutes defensively."
"Everyone wants us to have a problem with Gareth, but there isn't one. I'm happy with his game. Offensively and defensively he gave everything."
With that statement, Zidane also cleared the doubts on his rumoured rift with the Welshman.
The 30-year-old has so far racked up 2 goals and 2 assists in 13 outings of La Liga this season.
Despite failing to lure him to North London last month, Jose Mourinho has been reportedly tipped to reunite with Bale in the summer.
