Arsenal, Celtic qualify

Arsenal and Celtic have both qualified for the Champions League group stages. Arsenal qualified thanks to a 3-0 victory over Sparta Prague whilst Celtic took their game to penalties vs. Spartak Moscow, winning 4-3.

  • Arsenal won 5-0 on aggregate, with goals from Rosicky, Fabregas and Eduardo, who scored his first full goal for the club. Elsewhere, Celtic managed to scrape a 1-1 draw at Parkhead against Spartak, but Artur Boruc was the hero as they won 4-3 on penalties.



    Elsewhere, Slavia Prague knocked out Ajax with a very impressive performance. Werder Bremen knocked out Dinamo Zagreb whilst Anderlecht missed out on the Champions League for the first time in five years as Fenerbahce progressed.
