Chelsea legend Ashley Cole has urged the board to make an approach for Leicester City defender Ben Chilwell this summer.
The England international has been linked with the Blues since the beginning of the season and reports have claimed that he is the prime target to strengthen the left-back position this summer.
Speaking to TalkSPORT, Cole was full of praise for the Foxes graduate and believes the 23-year-old would be a good signing for the Blues, if they are able to find a summer agreement.
"I’d love to see him here. I think he’s a quality player, I’ve heard he’s a Chelsea fan so yes I’d like to see him here. But that depends if he wants to leave or if Leicester will sell him," he told.
Chilwell was very impressive for the Foxes during the opening half of the campaign and he was able to contribute one goal and six assists for club and country.
He has, however, failed to replicate the form during the backend of the season and has netted just once in all competitions. Chilwell has more than four years remaining on his current Foxes deal.
