Liverpool to re-sign Philippe Coutinho?

29 March 2020 - 16:45

Liverpool could reportedly make a surprise attempt to re-sign Philippe Coutinho from Barcelona during the next transfer window.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Coutinho is presently on a season-long loan at Bayern Munich from the Blaugrana where he has contributed eight goals and six assists in the league.

Still, the German side have no intention of signing him permanently and he is expected to return to the Camp Nou at the end of the campaign.

According to The Mirror, the Blaugrana are unlikely to reintegrate him into their first-team plans and they are likely to listen to offers from interested sides.

Manchester United and Chelsea have already been credited with an interest but reports claim that Jurgen Klopp's side could make a surprise move to re-sign the Brazil international.

Klopp is understood to have held a meeting with sporting director Michael Edwards regarding the same and it remains to be seen whether a formal approach is made in the summer.

Coutinho spent five years with the Merseyside outfit between 2013 and 2018 where he contributed 54 goals and 45 goals from 201 appearances in all competitions.
