Arsenal win the race to sign Paris Saint-Germain star?

16 April 2020 - 16:40

Arsenal are understood to have won the race to sign Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer from Paris Saint-Germain.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The 27-year-old's current deal expires at the end of June and his situation has attracted interest from the likes of Liverpool, Barcelona and Sevilla.

However, according to Todofichajes, the Gunners have reached a pre-contract agreement to sign the defender after finalising a five-year deal.

Kurzawa's arrival could lead to the departure of either Sead Kolasinac or Kieran Tierney - both of whom have struggled with injuries this season.

There are probably more chances of Kolasinac leaving the Gunners compared to Tierney, who only joined the club from Celtic last summer.

Despite the coronavirus shutdown, the north London side are said to be working on possible deals for the summer and they have recently been tipped to sign Axel Disasi from Reims.

Elsewhere, Alexandre Lacazette could be heading through the exit door, having fallen out-of-favour for the striker's role. He has been linked with a possible move to long-term admirers Atletico Madrid.
