Manchester United make Paul Pogba contract decision

United yet to extend Pogba's deal

Manchester United make Paul Pogba contract decision

23 April 2020 - 20:12

Manchester United have reportedly decided against triggering the 12-month option available on the contract of midfielder Paul Pogba.

  • Chelsea urged to sign Man City star on free transfer
  • Chelsea squad want Xabi Alonso as manager
  • Pogba's future has been a regular discussion point over the past year and he is currently entering the final year of his existing deal.

The Red Devils can prolong his stay for another year with the extension clause present but M.E.N claims that they are unlikely to do so for the moment.

The Frenchman has been linked with possible moves to Juventus and Real Madrid in recent months and his agent Mino Raiola is said to have made contact with both sides.

Still, the United hierarchy seem satisfied with the current situation and they are prepared to make a decision on the midfielder's future at the end of the campaign.

It has previously been claimed that Pogba could be willing to sign a new long-term contract, having seen the Red Devils' progress since the turn of the year.
