West Ham United are reportedly leading the race to sign Michy Batshuayi from Chelsea during this summer's transfer window.
The Belgian has only 12 months remaining on his existing deal with the Blues and he appears likely to head through the exit door at the end of the season.
According to The Express, both West Ham and Crystal Palace have expressed an interest in Batshuayi but the former are deemed as the favourites to land his signature.
The east London outfit spent a club-record fee of £43m for the purchase of Sebastien Haller but they are still said to be eyeing another marksman to provide competition.
The Blues are said to demand £40m for Batshuayi and the Hammers may have to recoup funds from player sales before making a move for the Belgium international.
Meanwhile, Palace are also admirers of the striker, having previously loaned him last season but there are unwilling to commit to such an outlay amid the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic.
