Arsenal striker Alexandre Lacazette is reportedly prepared to hold face-to-face talks with manager Mikel Arteta regarding his future.

  • Chelsea winger suffers head injury vs Nottingham Forest
  • Man Utd star preparing farewell video ahead of transfer

  • The Frenchman has experienced a tough season with the Gunners and he has netted only nine goals from 26 appearances across all competitions.

Prior to the coronavirus shutdown, he was a regular on the bench with Eddie Nketiah favoured upfront and it is unclear whether he will regain his spot.

He has more than two years remaining on his current deal with the club but ESPN claims that he will soon hold discussions with Arteta over his position.

The former Lyon man is unlikely to be satisfied with a back-up role and he may want assurances of regular gametime to stay put with the club.

Lacazette has recently been linked with a possible summer move to Atletico Madrid in a straight-swap deal involving midfielder Thomas Partey.

Arsenal will be in Premier League action against Manchester City on June 17. It will be interesting to see whether Lacazette will lead the line.
