Arsenal want Barcelona goalkeeper after Bernd Leno injury

Arsenal have reportedly opened negotiations with Barcelona over a possible loan deal for goalkeeper Neto.

  • Chelsea make first move to sign Bournemouth star
  • Atletico Madrid planning shock move for Chelsea star

  • The north London side witnessed Bernd Leno suffer a serious knee injury in the recent 2-1 defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion and the German could be out of action for a significant period of time.

According to Sport, the Gunners are already on the hunt for a new shot-stopper and they have recently entered talks with the Blaugrana over a loan deal for Neto.

The Catalan giants are, however, expected to reject the approach from the Gunners as they would rather prefer to discuss the permanent sale of the experienced keeper.

The former Valencia man is currently valued at around £18m and it is unclear whether the Gunners would pay the fee, considering they will be working on a limited budget this summer.

Apart from Neto, Mikel Arteta's side have been linked with the services of Joe Hart. The England international will be available on a free transfer when his Burnley contract expires on June 30.
