Ainsley Maitland-Niles set to leave Arsenal?

Arsenal ace Ainsley Maitland-Niles believes his career with the club is over after falling out-of-favour under manager Mikel Arteta.

  • The Englishman was a regular at right-back during the first half of the season, but his gametime has drastically reduced with Hector Bellerin making his comeback after his injury concerns.

The north London side recently signed Cedric Soares on a long-term deal to act as the deputy to Bellerin and Maitland-Niles now finds himself on the fringes of the first-team.

According to The Athletic, the 22-year-old has accepted that he may not have a long-term future under Arteta and he is prepared to advance his career at a different club.

He still has three years remaining on his existing deal with the Gunners but reports claim that a fee of around £25m could be sufficient for any interested side to sign him this summer.

Maitland-Niles has featured nearly 100 times for the Gunners. He has largely played as a full-back despite the fact that he prefers to play in a central midfield position.
