Kenyon demands better Chelsea

Kenyon demands better Chelsea

10 April 2008 - 22:04

Chelsea director Peter Kenyon has demanded better football from the club. Kenyon has backed boss Avram Grant for the way the Israeli has recovered Chelsea's season; but is hoping next season Grant will bring a better brand of football.

  • Chelsea planning move for marquee centre-back
  • Juventus exploring deal for Chelsea striker
  • "I don't think the football is where we want to be, but everybody still wants to improve," Kenyon told the Evening Standard.

"We are in the semi-final of the Champions League and we are right up there in the most competitive run-in of The Premier League that we have had for many years.

"The crowd needs to get behind the team and that's as much Avram as anyone else. It has been a fairly small element and I'm sure we will see the crowd at Stamford Bridge behind the team."
