Sunderland back in for Hoyte

Sunderland back in for Hoyte

10 April 2008 - 22:17

Sunderland could be set to resurrect a move for Arsenal defender Justin Hoyte this summer. Roy Keane is a big favorite of the right back, and Hoyte has found himself in and out of the first team far too often this season behind Bacary Sagna.

  • Chelsea midfielder looking forward to London derby vs Spurs
  • Arsenal in the front row to sign Dutch striker

  • Arsene Wenger seemingly preferred to play Emmanuel Eboue and Kolo Toure at right back when Bacary Sagna was injured, and Justin Hoyte has apparently given up all hope of appearing regularly for the first team.

Arsenal boss Wenger could let Hoyte leave for around £3 million as Roy Keane begins his preparations for next year.

Arsenal also are keen to generate funds to ensure they balance the books as they prepare an enslaught on the transfer market this summer after a disappointing campaign.
