Wenger: no Henry return

Wenger: no Henry return

11 April 2008 - 16:07

Arsene Wenger has confirmed that he will not make a move for the reportedly unhappy Thierry Henry. The Frenchman has grown frustrated with his opportunities at Barcelona, and there had been rumours of an Arsenal return.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • “That is not something I am considering right now,” he said on Friday. “He seems totally happy at Barcelona. He is currently exposed because the team has had the opportunity to fight back for the title but have not taken their chances.

“He wanted to leave (Arsenal). He played out eight seasons out and it was maybe his last opportunity for him to go elsewhere.

“I wish to see Thierry Henry win (against Manchester United). I think that Manchester United are the super favourites. But Barcelona remain Barcelona. They are capable of anything.”
