Leeds United fail in bid for Michael Cuisance

Cuisance to stay put after Leeds deal falls through

Leeds United fail in bid for Michael Cuisance

02 October 2020 - 18:02

Leeds United have missed out on a transfer move for Bayern Munich youngster Michael Cuisance. The Frenchman, who helped the Bavarian side win the Champions League, had been a surprise candidate for a move to Elland Road in a deal worth a reported 15 million euro for a year long loan deal. However, it is understood terms were not agreed between Leeds and the player, and Bayern Munich backtracked on the idea of a temporary move away for Cuisance.

  • Cuisance was an unused substitute in the Champions League final victory over French Ligue 1 side Paris St Germain and had been earmarked as a hot prospect for the future by the German side. The 21-year-old was wanted by Leeds United as part of a new look midfield for the newly promoted Premier League side, but it appears a deal has been scuppered close to transfer deadline week.

Cuisance, who has four years remaining on his contract with Bayern Munich, had also caught the eye of French club Monaco as well as Italian giants Juventus, but now looks set to stay with Bayern for the forseeable future.
