Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-1-2) vs Paris Saint-Germain, Cavani and Fred start

02 December 2020 - 19:30

Manchester United are scheduled to host Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League tonight.

  • Chelsea have discussed move for Alejandro Garnacho
  • Newcastle make bid for Chelsea defender

  • The Red Devils are currently top of Group H with nine points, three ahead of both Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.

They can qualify for the round of 16 with the first position tonight, if they avoid a defeat against Les Parisiens.

    Formation: 4-3-1-2

    Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has passed the fitness test ahead of the contest and he is expected to start in goal ahead of Dean Henderson.

In the defence, no changes are expected from the stunning 3-2 comeback win at Southampton.

Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Alex Telles should take up the right and left-back positions respectively.

Victor Lindelof is set to accompany Harry Maguire in the central defence once again.

In the midfield, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is likely to go with a three-man combination similar to last weekend.

Nemanja Matic should take up the holding role with Donny van de Beek and Fred operating in front of him.

Bruno Fernandes is set to feature in the number 10 position with Marcus Rashford and Edinson Cavani starting upfront.

Cavani paved the way for the comeback at St Mary's with two goals and an assist off the bench and he is set to start ahead of Anthony Martial.

Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-1-2): David de Gea; Aaron Wan-Bissaka, Victor Lindelof, Harry Maguire, Alex Telles; Fred, Nemanja Matic, Donny Van de Beek; Bruno Fernandes; Marcus Rashford, Edinson Cavani.
