Arsenal could be without three players for Chelsea clash

24 December 2020 - 21:14

Arsenal could be without three first-team stars when they entertain Chelsea in the Premier League on Boxing Day.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Former Chelsea boss to replace Erik ten Hag at Man Utd?

  • The Gunners have been in a poor run of form in the league and they have picked up only 14 points from as many matches.

They have picked up just two points from the previous seven games and will face another tough test against Chelsea this weekend.

Ahead of the clash, Mikel Arteta's side could be without the likes of Thomas Partey, Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Gabriel Martinelli due to injuries.

Partey is definitely ruled out of the London derby with a thigh concern while Aubameyang and Martinelli may face late fitness tests for the clash.

Aubameyang has missed the past two games in all competitions with a calf problem while Martinelli sustained a knock in midweek.

The Brazilian suffered an inflammation after a bad kick on his shin during the League Cup quarter-final against Manchester City.

Martinelli has shed fears of any injury through his official Instagram account, but Arteta will make the final decision over his involvement.
