Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has said that the club may focus on new signings after sanctioning the temporary and permanent exit of unwanted players.
The Gunners parted ways with Sead Kolasinac and William Saliba on loan deals earlier this month and they have since released Sokratis and Matt Macey.
Mesut Ozil is also expected to leave the club this weekend and Arteta has revealed that the club may now bring in players before the transfer deadline.
"We are in that process now. We have done the first part more or less and we are focusing now on the second phase," he told Arsenal.com.
The north London giants are on the hunt for a new creative midfielder and Real Madrid's Martin Odegaard has been touted to join them on loan.
In his press conference, Arteta revealed that the club may search for reinforcements in more than one position this month.
They have been linked with a move for a back-up goalkeeper with Alex Runarsson having failed to impress since his summer move.
