Tottenham Hotspur ready to sell central defender

Tottenham Hotspur are reportedly keen to part ways with Davinson Sanchez when the transfer window reopens this summer.

  • Chelsea to move for former Arsenal goalkeeper?
  • Arsenal handed huge boost ahead of Bournemouth clash

  • The Colombian has been with Spurs since the summer of 2017 and he has accumulated nearly 150 appearances in all competitions.

He has started the last seven league games for the club, but Football Insider claims that Spurs are still open to selling him.

It is added that manager Jose Mourinho wants an upgrade in the central defence and has the opinion that Sanchez can't be trusted in the big games.

Sanchez was purchased from Ajax for around £42m four years ago. He will have three years left on his contract this summer.

With the financial impact of the coronavirus pandemic, the north London side may struggle to recoup the entire transfer fee.

Aside from Sanchez, there are doubts over the future of Eric Dier. The England international has been unused for the past four league games.

Spurs recently suffered a disappointing 2-1 league defeat at Arsenal. They are now six points adrift of the top four with a game in hand.
