Manchester City eyeing playmaker with 19 goal contributions

Manchester City have their sights on signing Aston Villa captain Jack Grealish during this summer's transfer window.

  • Chelsea suffer double injury blow ahead of Villa trip
  • Mikel Arteta confirms big injury boost for Spurs clash

  • The England international has been a consistent performer for the Villans, and he has registered seven goals and 12 assists from 23 games this term.

According to Football Insider, Grealish has made the decision to leave the Midlands outfit, and fancies a move to the Cityzens.

It is added that Pep Guardiola's side are aware of a release clause, which was inserted when Jack Grealish signed a new contract last year.

The Cityzens are planning to spend big in the summer despite Guardiola dismissing any big-name signings in the next transfer window.

They are long-term admirers of Grealish, and have been handed a big boost with the player now open to joining them.

Grealish has also been linked with Manchester United in the past, but the Red Devils may be reluctant to enter a bidding battle.

The Villans captain has more than four years remaining on his contract.
