West Ham United are prepared to compete with Arsenal for the signing of Norwich City defender Max Aarons.
The 21-year-old was the subject of interest from many European clubs last summer, but a deal never materialised.
He has had a fine campaign in the Championship for the Canaries, who recently secured their return to the top-flight.
According to PA Sport, Aarons could be on the move this summer despite the Canaries' comeback to the Premier League.
West Ham United and Arsenal have been credited with an interest in the right-back, who is valued at around £30m.
The Hammers have a quality right-back in Vladimir Coufal, who has been one of their signings of the campaign.
However, the club are bracing for European football next term, and manager David Moyes is eyeing more defensive depth.
Aarons was reportedly on the radar of Bayern Munich and Barcelona last year, but their interest appears to have cooled.
