Crystal Palace are keen on landing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah before Tuesday's transfer deadline, The Sun reports.
The 22-year-old has entered the final year of his Gunners contract, and has no plans of signing a possible extension.
Hence, he is expected to be sold before the deadline, and the Eagles are deemed favourites to land his services.
Palace recently made an opening bid of around £8 million for the marksman, but the proposal was rejected by the Gunners.
The north London club are eyeing at least £20m, but Patrick Vieira's side believe they can seal the deal for around £12m.
Nketiah was used sparingly during the course of last season. He registered six goals from 1,308 minutes of first-team football.
He is now eyeing regular game time to boost his reputation. Palace could offer him the platform to excel if a deal is finalised.
Brighton & Hove Albion have also been linked with Nketiah this summer. They could yet provide competition to Palace.
