Real Madrid have reportedly joined Paris Saint-Germain in the race to sign Chelsea defender Antonio Rudiger.
The German has only 10 months left on his current deal, and there has been no progress over a possible renewal.
Rudiger is reportedly eyeing £200,000-per-week, but the Blues are clear that they won't meet his wage demands.
According to Goal.com, the centre-back is happy to stay only if the club are willing to meet his salary requirements.
Elsewhere, he could head for the exit door. He can sign a pre-contract with an overseas club when the transfer window reopens.
Thomas Tuchel is desperate to keep hold of Rudiger, but the hierarchy are clear that they won't pay over the odds.
They are likely to make a fresh move for Jules Kounde in January with the anticipation that Rudiger could leave soon.
Sevilla rejected a package of €50m from the Blues for Kounde. It remains to be seen whether they make an improved bid.
