Arsenal could offer William Saliba as a makeweight to sign Manchester City winger Raheem Sterling this winter.
Saliba has not played a single game for the Gunners in his career, and he is currently in his third loan stint away from the club.
He has been earning rave reviews for his performances, and there are suggestions that his future could lie away from the Gunners.
According to Calciomercato, the north London club are planning an ambitious move to sign Sterling during the January transfer window.
Sterling is approaching the final 18 months of his contract. It is claimed that the Gunners could offer Saliba in a player-plus-cash deal for him.
The Gunners are also willing to include Gabriel Martinelli or Alexandre Lacazette in a potential move to land the England international.
Sterling has made just two Premier League starts this term. He is reportedly evaluating his options, having fallen down the pecking order.
Gunners boss Mikel Arteta has a close relationship with him, and the Spaniard is reportedly optimistic of luring him to the club.
