Barcelona will make a loan proposal for Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele at the turn of the year.
The Frenchman has underperformed for Spurs since his big-money move from Lyon two years ago, and he has been widely linked with an exit.
Spurs were keen to offload him during the summer transfer window, but they did not receive any suitable offers on the negotiation table.
According to Sport, the Blaugrana are keen to get their hands on Ndombele, but can only afford as an initial loan deal amid financial concerns.
The Catalan giants are expected to appoint Xavi as their new manager, and they are likely to reinforce the squad with quality signings this winter.
Aside from Ndombele, the Blaugrana also have their sights on Manchester United's Donny van de Beek and RB Leipzig's Daniel Olmo.
They have also been linked with a pre-contract move for Paul Pogba whose contract with the Red Devils expires at the end of the campaign.
