Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah has been rewarded with a new long-term contract following his breakthrough campaign.

  • Omari Hutchinson wants to continue at Ipswich Town

  • The centre-back had been out on loan in recent years, but he managed to catch Thomas Tuchel's eye after a brilliant pre-season.

He has since been a regular starter for the Blues at the heart of the defence, and has now put pen-to-paper on a long-term deal.

His previous contract was due to expire in the summer of 2023. He has now signed a renewal until the end of the 2025/26 season.

Chalobah told Chelseafc.com: "It's quite surreal. It's a dream for me to sign a new contract for my boyhood club and hopefully the dream continues."

The club graduate has got his fair share of playing time this season with Tuchel opting to rotate his central defensive options.

Chalobah has made the most of his game time for the Blues. He has chipped in with a couple of goals in his 10 appearances this term.
